Tools Charter Captains Are Using This Summer That Are Actually Moving the Needle

Every year there’s a new wave of marketing tools promising to help you book more trips, save time, or magically grow your business. Most of them aren’t worth the money—or the learning curve.

But every now and then, a few tools come along that are genuinely useful.

In this week’s training, I shared two that I’ve been testing and think are worth paying attention to if you’re serious about growing your charter business.

1. Zappy Cards

If you’ve ever struggled to get customers to leave a Google review, this is a tool you’ll want to look at.

Zappy Cards use NFC technology and QR codes to make it incredibly easy for customers to leave a review, save your contact information, or visit your website with just a tap.

Instead of asking someone to “Google your business later,” you can hand them a card while they’re still excited about the trip.

That small change can make a big difference in the number of reviews you collect—and more reviews usually mean more trust and more bookings.

2. Meta Glasses

Creating content while you’re running a charter isn’t always easy. Pulling out your phone every few minutes takes you away from your customers.

Meta Glasses solve that problem by letting you capture photos and short videos from your perspective while keeping your hands free.

They’re not a replacement for a good camera, but they’re a great way to collect authentic content that can be turned into social posts, reels, trip recaps, and behind-the-scenes videos.

The Bigger Lesson

The goal isn’t to buy every new gadget that comes along.

The goal is to find tools that remove friction from your business.

If a tool helps you get more reviews, create content more consistently, or save time, it’s probably worth a closer look.

If it just adds more complexity, it’s probably not.

In the full video, I walk through how we’re using both of these tools, what I like about them, and where I think they fit into a modern charter marketing strategy.

I’d also love to hear from you.
